On November 27,2025 St Jago High School held its annual Prize giving ceremony. The ceremony was well attended by the St Jago High School Cadet Unit , not only as marshalls, ushers and aides but also as awardees.

Congratulations to the following members of the unit for their awards:

Cpl Tyndale M. – Good Citizenship Award

L/cpl Brown D- Best Tech Support Prefect

Lcpl Depluzer C.- Excellent Academic Performance in CSEC

Lcpl Jarett J. – Excellent Academics , Best Cadet (Lower School)

L/cpl Mcpherson R- Best Cadet (Upper School)

Cdt Martin A- Excellent Performance in CSEC

The unit is tremendously proud of those who were recognised and awarded and grateful to those that provided service when called upon.

In October, Hurricane Mellissa made landfall on the Island of Jamaica, bringing destruction and death to various parts of the island. Within a couple of days , the members of the St Jago High Cadet Unit quickly answered the call of duty to their school and, by extension, Jamaica.

On February 5th, 2024, the St Jago High School Cadet Unit held its annual inspection parade. The Cadets were eager to participate, and overall, our CO, Lt Col Michelle Bright-Chinsee, was impressed by our performance and elated by the attendance of our Acting Principal, Mrs Antoinette Wright Dallen.
